Meredith Salenger
Salenger was born and raised in Malibu, California. When she was a kid, she loved acting in front of family and friends. As young as eight years old, her mother brought her to her first acting class. She was in a minor part in the film as "a singing and dancing orphan" in John Huston's feature film Annie. Salenger has also been featured in a few television commercials. Salenger was the first actress to be cast on screen in The Journey of Natty Gann produced by Disney in which she was a film starring John Cusack alongside Ray Wise. The film took home the Moscow Film Festival's gold award for being the first American-made film. Additionally, she was awarded "Best Female actress in a film" in the Youth in Film Awards in recognition of her role as the sexy Natty. After starring in four more films when she was eighteen years old which included A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon She left Hollywood to go to Harvard to further her education.
